Board Certification
Dr. Most is board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) to perform Facial Plastic Surgery. He has achieved double-certification in both Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has completed seven years of advanced training after medical school to specialize in this area. First, he undertook a six-year residency, including an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
Following this, he was selected for one of the most competitive advanced fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has completed the rigorous requirements of this fellowship, which can be completed only after either General Plastic Surgery or Otolaryngology-Head & Neck surgery residency.
A Leader in Facial Plastic Surgery
Dr. Most is proud of his specialization in Facial Plastic Surgery, and is actively involved in advancing the specialty. He has organized a nationally acclaimed course in Facial Plastic Surgery each Fall at the University of Washington. Here, physicians in Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Facial Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Dermatology all gather to attend lectures and lab sessions led by Dr. Most and his fellow counterparts from around the U.S. and Canada. He has already trained many physicians in the art and practice of Facial Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Most served as the Medical Director of the Cosmetic Surgery Center at the University of Washington Medical Center from 2004-2006, where he oversaw the practices of four other cosmetic surgeons. Dr. Most was then recruited as Chief of Facial Plastic Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine in July 2006.
Dr. Most is regularly invited to lecture at national and international meetings in Facial Plastic Surgery. He has authored numerous articles and and textbook chapters on facial plastic surgery. He is was the 2003 recipient of the Ben Shuster Award from the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He recently co-authored the Aging Face Surgery/Dissection Manual (2004, AAFPRS press) and has been invited as a guest faculty at the nationally recognized Portland Rhinoplasty Course (July 2005). He was the guest of honor at the inaugual Facial Plastic Surgery Course in Auckland, New Zealand (2006).
