Browlift/Forehead Lifts
This is a procedure that is designed to rejuvenate the upper third of the face by repositioning the eyebrow. In some cases, frown lines can be improved as well. This procedure is also called a forehead lift and is generally not considered part of a facelift procedure, though the two are often done together. You can see as streaming video of Dr. Most discussing this procedure here.

The forehead is often one of the first areas to show signs of aging (tired and angry look). Gravity causes the eyebrow to drop with time, and the forehead muscle action used to elevate it causes deep wrinkles of the forehead. Deep vertical lines form between the eyebrows and horizontal lines form above them.
Endoscopic Browlifts
Several techniques are available to perform a browlift. The technique used depends on several factors, including position of the hairline, hair density, and the presence of forehead lines. Dr. Most is experienced in modern endoscopic techniques which minimize the extent of incisions. Using this newer technique, the brows can be elevated to reduce the "tired" or "frowning" appearance. This technique features a quicker recovery and reduced scalp numbness compared to older techniques. Dr. Most has lectured internationally on this technique.

What are the limitations of the browlift procedure?
A brow lift may not improve pre-existing asymmetry between the brows. A browlift generally improves the heaviness of the upper brow, but if this is of primary concern a blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) may be required. Forehead creases and frown lines may also be improved with Botox® injections.
What is the procedure like?
The procedure is usually done with the patient asleep. Five small incisions are used, as in the above diagram. No dressings are required.
What is the recovery period?
Patients may expect about 7 days of swelling or bruising in the lower forehead/eyelid area. Some patients recover more rapidly, some may take a few days longer.
